Sars-Cov 2 hit our people in Mfuleni very hard. Not only the virus itself but especially the lockdown that came along with it.
Workers are losing their jobs, grocery costs are rising and children won’t get food at school anymore. After many years people are suffering to buy enough food for their family. We even have cases of malnourished children in the hospitals again.
Women for Peace is providing food for people in the Community of Mfuleni. In our Nobantu Centre we serve fresh and well balanced meals. The ladies are working here from morning to evening voluntarily. Each day about 250 mothers, fathers and children are coming to our soup kitchen.
